What is eHRMS Manav Sampada portal?
Manav Sampada eHRMS also known as Electronic Human Resource Management System is a web-based HRMS portal developed by the National Informatics Center as a software product through SaaS technology and offered to different states to use it as the normal form in a customized form.
States can register on the eHRMS portal manage their employee’s database and enable required services for them. eHRMS administrators are responsible for managing all the employee data in each state.
All services that a state needs must be enabled by the administrator otherwise employees will not be able to access those services through their accounts.
Currently, 780 departments from 20 states have been registered with the online portal.

The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology has ordered the National Informatics Center to develop a software product that any state in India can use. There was an urgent requirement for a Human Resource Management System that could fulfill the requirements of the different Indian states. Later National Informatics Center completed the development of the eHRMS Manav Sampada portal as a software product that can be adopted by any Indian state.
Currently, many states are using this product and providing the HRMS solution and employee-related services. A few state portals that have been developed through eHRMS are Manav Sampada Uttar Pradesh, iHRMS Punjab, HRMS Jharkhand, Manav Sampada UP Police, PMIS HP, etc.
The eHRMS portal offers different types of services that are very helpful for the employees. It depends on the states which has adopted the eHRMS portal and what type of services they want to include in their state-specific HRMS portal and allow their employees to use them. For example, the Uttar Pradesh government has provided many useful services to their employees including downloading salary slips, checking payroll and attendance, viewing the P2 Fact Sheet, Viewing Service Book, online leave, etc.

Employees can access the eHRMS portal of their state by selecting the state on the https://ehrms.nic.in/ website. State links are available at the top right corner.
Please note that a few large states where employee numbers are higher and these states also have few specific requirements for their employees. That’s why these states are using the eHRMS portal after customizing it through a separate domain.
States like Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, West Bengal Police, etc are using a separate portal in a customized form and will be accessible on a different web URL.

Who launched the electronic human resource management system?
Electronic Human Resource Management System or EHRMS was first launched by the National Informatics Center (NIC), Himachal Pradesh for the employees of the Himachal Pradesh Government.
After getting good responses and positive reviews, NIC was given the task of converting that software into a product so that other states could implement it easily.
Finally, NIC launched the EHRMS product which is also being used by other states today.
What is my Manav Sampada ID and password?
After the first time registration of an employee by a user having a Data Entry or Super User role employee gets a 6-digit ID and a default password.
The default password is a combination of the first three letters of the employee’s name and year of birth.
For example, if an employee’s name is ANURAG and year of birth is 1990 then his default password will be ANU1990.
Employees can log in to the portal using this 6-digit user ID and default password. The employee can change his password after the first login.
